How do I order a wedding cake?
I recommend a full tasting and consultation to discuss your requirements. Please contact me once you have secured your venue to arrange this. Please contact me either by telephone or email/social media or by filling out the ‘get in touch’ section and I will provide an initial quote in reply.
How do I arrange a tasting?
Tasting and design consultation sessions are arranged by appointment only and require a £100 deposit. This deposit will be deducted from the balance of your wedding cake. The deposit secures your wedding date, a personalised sketch, contract and T&C’s.
The tasting consultation take place at my home and I look forward to meeting you and starting the creative process that leads to your dream wedding cake on your special day. A selection of your preferred flavours will be available for tasting
Designing your cake
Please see the gallery for some ideas of the styles and themes I have been commissioned to make. I hope these serve as an inspirational guide. When designing your wedding cake we’ll consider the style and theme of the occasion, and the personality and passions of the individual(s) for whom the cake is being made.
Photographs, magazine clippings, stationary, etc. can all help when it comes to designing the cake. It's
certainly a good idea to bring along any of the above to your consultation together with colour swatches and pictures of flowers and accessories so we can incorporate one or more of these elements into your wedding cake.
How much can I expect to pay for a wedding cake?
All my wedding cakes are designed to suit your personal style and requirements. Each cake is bespoke and made exclusively by me, for you. Prices will therefore vary according to the amount of detail involved and portions you would like to serve of the cake. As a rough guide you should expect to pay no less then £500 for a wedding cake. The size of the cake will depend on the number of guests you need to cater for. If your cake is being served as a dessert, the size is going to be twice as big.
Payment and deposit
After the consultation I will prepare a tailored design and quote for you. If you are happy with this,
I will require a non refundable deposit of 50% to secure your date
(your £100 tasting deposit contributes towards this).
Delivery and set-up
This is something I offer personally for all wedding cakes. Delivery and set up (if required) within a 25 mile radius will be charged at a minimum of £45. Further afield will be quoted individually. You are welcome to collect your wedding cake yourself and packaging will be provided for you to do so, however, please be aware that the majority of wedding cakes are built at their final destination.
